Year of the Trail

Last night we attended the Year of the Trail NC event at Blue Blaze Brewing. 2023 NC Year of the Trail celebrates North Carolina’s vast network of trails, greenways, and blueways which showcase our diverse landscapes – grand mountain vistas, quiet rivers, vibrant urban greenways, coastal forests, and the rolling hills of the piedmont.

NC Year of the Trail is the largest statewide celebration of trails and outdoor recreation in North Carolina history.

Blue Blaze has always been about the great outdoors with taproom and beers themed from the rich history of the Appalachian Trail and the entire culture in which it is immersed.

Blue Blaze collaborated with Carolina Thread Trail to create Year of the Trail pale ale of which a portion of the proceeds will benefit the NC Year of the Trail organization. Year of the Trail pale ale is available in the taproom and in 4-packs only at the brewery.

The event last night included some guest speakers who spoke on why Year of the Trail is so important to North Carolina and how we can get more involved.
